The Seated Fit Sling is a spacer fabric sling with a safe working load of 200KG. The Seated Fit Sling has been designed to allow the patient to remain sat on the sling for a period of time. We ask that you seek the advise of a Healthcare Professional when determining time on the sling and that a thorough risk assessment is carried out.
The spacer fabric sling allows for maximum airflow and has a slight four way stretch which increases surface area contact with the patient, this in turn helps to reduce pressure.
To aid the maximum reduction in pressure the Seated Fit Sling has no aperture and can only be fitted when the patient is on a flat surface and can be rolled side to side. This means that without the aperture underneath the patient there are no seams in the usual areas usually associated with pressure sores
The Seated Fit Sling has the added benefit of a pair of straps in the hip area of the sling help prevent lateral movement and provide support for the hips. All of the straps on the sling can be tucked away.
This sling is fine to be used with amputees and can also be used for bathing.
